BAMPTON 2 v 7 Ducklington

Yesterday was difficult.

It is difficult to watch our boys, who are such good footballers, play quite so badly. At times, we found it difficult to make the simplest of passes. .

I asked for endeavour and hard work and they all gave that.I asked each player to step up and get more involved, and they all did that. But it was one of those days where we just couldn't find a pass to a team mate.

Game started well, us going 1 up in first few minutes but rest of second half was all Ducklington. Our shape was poor which allowed Ducklington to camp on edge of our box and score at will. 5 - 1 down at half time.

We had a chat at half time about our positioning and asking the midfield to push further up field and that worked.Second half was quite even with us possiby edging it on possession and chances.

As for goals and referee, he gave the softest hand ball penalty ever seen and throughout the game seemed to favour the opposition with his decisions. .

We crested problems for ourselves in defence which we will talk about this week in training. .
